Privacy Policy & Child Data Protection

Effective Date: October 2026 Compliance: COPPA, GDPR-K, CalOPPA Standards

🛡️ Non-Negotiable Child Privacy Pledge

Teenology is designed around genuine trust between parents and teenagers. We do not sell personal data, do not display third-party advertisements, and do not spy on teens' private personal journals.

1. Information We Collect and Store Locally

To provide personalized guidance without compromising confidentiality:

  • On-Device Local Journal: Personal journal entries, mood check-ins, and reflection notes remain stored locally in your browser's encrypted sandbox (IndexedDB / Local Vault). They are not sent to our central servers.
  • Voluntary Check-Ups & Quizzes: Answers to relationship and parenting check-up quizzes are processed ephemerally to produce your instant recommendations and are not linked to permanent advertising identifiers.

2. Parental Consent & COPPA Compliance

Teenology strictly complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental/guardian consent.

3. AI Processing Principles

When you interact with our AI guidance features (such as Family Bridge or scenario simulators), conversational inputs are processed using enterprise-grade zero-retention API endpoints. Google / AI foundation providers are legally prohibited from using your private family discussions to train public AI models.

4. Data Subject Rights & Account Deletion

You may clear all local data at any time directly through the app settings or request complete erasure of any registered email account by contacting privacy@teenology.care.
